Bollywood film industry is abuzz with excitement over their newest releases. A few have experienced instant success at the box office and even won awards in their genres, such as The Kashmir Files which won DadaSaheb Phalke Award 2023 for Best Film.

Directed by Vivek Agnihotri and featuring Anupam Kher, Shishir Sharma, and Paresh Rawal, the film released in March last year to great acclaim at the box office. It earned several nominations including National Awards and Indian Academy of Film and Television Arts (IFTTA).

On February 20, the esteemed festival saw a star-studded lineup. Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Ranbir Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Rekha and Rishab Shetty were among those honored with awards in their respective fields.

Before the awards ceremony, the cast and crew of the film were in the spotlight for their incredible performances. They shared endearing moments on the red carpet as they posed for photographers.

At the awards ceremony, The Kashmir Files was named Best Film and Anupam Kher received the Most Versatile Actor award. Other winners included RRR and SS Rajamouli’s directorial which won both DadaSaheb Prakash award and Film of the Year title award.

Chup: Revenge of The Artist, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Manish Paul, earned Best Director honors. This film marks their second collaboration with director R Balki after “Tejas”, which received critical acclaim.

Jugjugg Jeeyo, featuring a star-studded cast, won an array of awards at this renowned festival. Critics praised its ensemble cast and unique approach to character introduction through short clips.

Dulquer Salmaan, who has often played negative roles, has achieved success by winning the Best Actor award at the DadaSaheb Phalke Awards 2023 for his role in Chup. He was joined by family and friends to accept the honor.

He also expressed gratitude to the director for her remarkable work.

His win of the DadaSaheb Phalke award was an inspiring moment and he felt truly humbled by it.

Every year in Mumbai, the DadaSaheb Phalke awards honor the best of Hindi cinema with a Swarna Kamal medallion, cash prize of Rs 10 lakh and an exclusive shawl.
